Maebh and Ian's wedding heralded my third visit as a wedding photographer to Sutton House in East London. I have been very lucky now to see three different ceremonies in three of Sutton House's different rooms. This time in a small room on the ground floor with gorgeous panelled walls and then a reception upstairs in one of the larger rooms with ancient tapestries. But first, I visited the St Pancras Renaissance Hotel, where Maebh was getting ready. I was very excited to visit the hotel - as a student I lived opposite St Pancras station and my memory of it is of scaffolding, so, to see the inside was a real treat (and it was also where the Wannabe video was filmed, which, as a former Spice Girls fan is super exciting)! It is gorgeous - the massive original windows have been maintained and some even look out over the station! Maebh's dress was just simply stunning - the simplicity paired with the beautiful dropped back. Beautiful! And, while I know that the wedges were predominantly because stilettos aren't allowed on Sutton House's historic floorboards, I thought they were a lovely pairing! After the ceremony, Maebh, Ian and their guests returned to their East London home for a small celebration, with the rest of the celebrations happening the next day at a large meal (which I did not attend) and we had a chance to gather in a local park for some couple shots. I love love love the lighting in these photos and just how London-y it is to have a small green space surrounded by lovely town houses. Oh and did I mention how adorable Maebh and Ian's kids are? That cheeky little ring-bearer is their son and the baby with the greatest facial expressions I've ever seen is their daughter! Lovely!
