Wedding Photography at Old Marylebone Town Hall
Located in the heart of London, Old Marylebone Town Hall is a truly iconic place to get married. It boasts all the stunning, marble staircases your heart could desire and a variety of ceremony rooms for all types of weddings, from The Paddington Room holding 8 guests, all the way to The Westminster Room holding 100 guests.
I particularly love it for its classic London charm, wood panelling, huge windows and perfect confetti spot on the exit stairs.
Hi, I’m Hannah (she/her), a wedding photographer in London with over a decade of experience. I specialise in real, fun, never awkward wedding photography. I know you don’t want to spend your whole wedding holding a fake smile for photos, so I make sure your posed photos are speedy, fun and don’t make you cringe.
Some Old Marylebone Town Hall Favourites
One of the big questions about London town hall weddings is where should we have our couple portraits? Old Marylebone Town Hall has some great options.
Old Marylebone Town Hall | 0 minute walk
There are a whole lot of photogenic locations inside and outside Old Marylebone Town Hall. The staircases and arches inside make for beautiful couple portrait locations. And if you liked those stairs inside, the outdoor staircase is big, imposing and gorgeous. There are also little nooks and arches around here perfect for photos. This is usually where you’ll do your confetti photo and portrait of all guests if you’d like one.
Surrounding Streets & Mews’ | 2 minute walk
Just a quick turn down a side street – like Thornton Place – and you’ve got cobble street paths lined with walls with charming peeling paint and little classic London mews’. Perfect for those city stroll portraits.
Baker Street Station | 5 minute walk
Maybe not the most obvious, but, one of London’s most beautiful underground stations is a 5 minute walk away. And there’s nothing more iconic than some London public transport!
Regents Park | 9 minute walk
If you want some greenery, your closest spot is Regents Park, which is a short walk (though, maybe bring some comfy shoes) and gives you a whole different vibe to the streets and buildings right by Old Marylebone Town Hall.
I’ve had the pleasure of photogaphing a lot of weddings at Old Marylebone Town Hall, wich means I’ve seen many reception spots after a ceremony there. Here are some of my favourites, but, I’ve always got more ideas – just ask!
The Depot
The Depot is a pub…but better. Split over several levels to give your guests lots of little nooks to chat in, a ton of fairy lights and a big courtyard.
Holmes Hotel
Walkable from Old Marylebone Town Hall, the Holmes Hotel has a basement space, including its own kitchen, you can dedicate to your wedding. There’s also a little roof terrace to get some air and some great photos.
The world is your oyster!
You’re so central, there are any number of pubs, restaurants, hotels and everything inbetween to choose from for your reception. Personally, I think there’s nothing like rocking up at a pretty pub after a London town hall wedding. I realised I was in danger of making this page very unweildy with all my suggestions, but, I love a good long email if you need me to give you some ideas!
