St Albans Registry Office & The Loft St Albans Wedding Photographer

It's a wedding at The Loft in St Albans!! Wooh! First up, the food at The Loft is legit. Let's get that out there...go have dinner there. Now. Second, I had quite the year of The Loft St Albans weddings back before the world shut down and this is the first one I've got round to blogging. I'm excited to show you how perfect this place is for a laidback wedding.

Back to Charlotte and Richard. I remember having an exceptionally long chat over several drinks before they booked me, including a good half an hour strategising about what happens if it rains. Spoiler - it didn't. The weather was perfect. On the wedding day, I confessed to Richard that for all my, "it'll be fine-ing" I was keeping everything crossed that it wouldn't rain.

I love a St Albans wedding! It's funny being a Hertfordshire wedding photographer...because I mainly travel to places within easy reach, but, I have basically no association with those towns other than, "this is where that wedding venue is." But, St Albans is my home, so, it just feels extra special to see my lovely little town come to life with wedding excitement. It's a bit like when you're allowed out in the wild on a school day.

Charlotte and Richard had their ceremony at St Albans Registry Office, then we jumped in taxis to The Loft, with a stop off for group and couple photos outside The Abbey.

I really loved these two, I loved their family and friends, I loved this wedding. Charlotte is from New Zealand, so, she brought with her a ton of accents and dry humour - seriously, the speeches were the best...!

Also, let me make my stance of wedding dresses with long sleeves clear - I love them. How bloody elegant does Charlotte look? Yup. Also, those flowers...! Ahhhh!
