Tess and Scott got married at St George’s School in Harpenden, Hertfordshire where Tess teaches. Tess also brought in her school choir, who were a trigger for more than a few tears. Upon arriving at the school there was a bagpiper to greet guests, to celebrate Scott’s Scottish heritage.
After some tea and shortbread everyone headed off to Home Farm Glamping in Elstree. It was just beautiful – little areas cut into wildflowers, a stunningly finished tipi and I got a little peak into Tess and Scott’s tent for that night – amazing! All the little touches were perfect, from the personalised wine bottles (on the back was a little description of the guests on that table), the place settings which were actually handmade key rings made by Scott who is a D&T teacher…oh and the cake topper, this might be my favourite cake topper ever! And then a cheese “cake” too!
Have I mentioned Tess’ flower crown yet? I have a lot to say about this…namely that I am in love with it and I am now completely sold on having on myself when I get married. Tess also had two dresses in one, the floaty layer came off after the wedding breakfast for something more eveningy. When I met up with Tess and Scott they said they weren’t sure about having a traditional first dance and instead the evening kicked straight off with a Ceilidh.
