I do love a wedding at South Farm in Shingay-Cum-Wendy, Cambridge - it's one of my favourite venues and I've been lucky enough to cover a few weddings there. Vicky also got ready in the gorgeous Old Dairy, part of the Fullers Cottages, based on an airfield, and there were lots of lovely aviation themed touches to the cottages - I always love it when the bride gets ready in a cottage as there's a lovely "wedding village" feel. It rained on this day - bouncing off the road, unable to see out of the windscreen kind of rain. But, Vicky had her heart set on an outdoor ceremony and James, knowing what she wanted, gave the go ahead for outdoors. And amazingly, when Vicky arrived, the rain cleared, the sun came out and it was perfect. The ceremony was so much fun! At one point James and Vicky, leaning over giggling, head-butted each other. One of James best men did a "reading" which turned out to be him singing "Grow Old With You" from The Wedding Singer (which I always thought was beautifully romantic). I loved all the handmade touches at this wedding- the couples parents slaved over homemade gin and jams, in those gorgeous little goodie bags you see! Oh and the cake, look at that cake! I adore pigs and South Farm has a whole pen of adorable piglets, so, I loved that they brought this into the wedding This wedding was just so much fun, so full of laughter and I got to stroke some pigs, which was (weirdly) a life goal for me, so, I had an amazing time.
