St Albans Registry Office Wedding Photography

Brigitta emailed me a couple of weeks before their wedding. Kieran is a rugby player and moving back to their native Australia in a few weeks, so, they planned a very last minute wedding at St Albans Register Office with some photos after.

You may notice from the pictures that there is an extra special guest at this wedding - Slinky, the sausage dog. I'm not sure how overly thrilled he was to be there, but, I would love it if there was a dog at every wedding I covered!

After the ceremony, Brigitta and Kieran's guests headed off to the pub, while we went off for some photos. We had discussed Sopwell Nunnery, which I think is such a lovely and underrated photo location in St Albans. They very wisely brought some very fetching wellies with them. By the time I got home my feet were squelching in my shoes, so, I was very jealous.

Brigitta had her heart set on some photos featuring blossom, but, our strange snowy spring made this a bit of a challenge. We decided to then head to Verulamium Park because I love the willow trees down there. While there, we also found this beautiful white bush, which I think is lovely. You'd never know we were stomping around in the mud and fog!

I am very much in love with Brigitta's floral wedding dress from Needle & Thread! She had originally not planned on having flowers at all, but, her hairdresser talked her into it at the last minute and put together her buttonholes. Her sister also had a bouquet delivered to her as a surprise. This featured some Australian flowers to remind her of home. Both Kieran and Brigitta wore matching white Converse, with 'wife' and 'husband' written on the back. I loved this cute little touch and I'm always a fan on a bride in flats.

Usually I have a lot longer to get to know my couples and spend the whole day with them. But, even in the few hours I got to spend with Brigitta and Kieran (and Slinky), I had so much fun.
