Oxleaze Barn Wedding Photographer

Shiv and Phil were married at Oxleaze Barn in Lechlade. This was my first visit to Oxleaze Barn and wow, is it beautiful. With higldy-pigldy walled gardens, exposed stone everywhere and a gorgeous sunset over the fields.

This wasn't my first time meeting a fair few people at this wedding - I covered one of Shiv's bridesmaids weddings a couple of years ago (where the infamous couple portrait trouser ripping occurred) and it was great to catch cup again and learn that they had emergency sewing kits on hand this time.

St Peter's Church Southrop Wedding Photographer

The ceremony was at St Peter's Church Southrop in Lechlade. I covered quite a few weddings in the Cotswolds last year and one of my favourite things is all these stone lined twisty roads. The approach to St Peter's Southrop was no exception...a little terrifying at time, but, beautiful and like you're in a period drama. It's an incredibly old church too with some very interesting Saxon history. Yes, I did read all the tourist information signs while waiting for Shiv's (ahem) delayed arrival.

It was back to Oxleaze Barn after the ceremony for a laughter filled reception, lawn games and ice cream. One of my favourite little details was the mini portrait station, where guests drew their own pictures to pin the guest board. Many artists amongst this crowd clearly...!

Shiv is really into giraffes, so you'll notice a lot of little giraffe details around. They're also both into their country music and the bridesmaids surprised her with some cowboy boots that she revealed to Phil during couple portraits...they went down a storm!
