Offley Place Wedding Photographer

A lovely winter wedding for you today! Rachael and Marc were married at Offley Place in Hitchin, Hertfordshire. We had some fantastic British weather for this wedding, rain and wind, with some unexpected sunshine (that looked a lot more inviting than it actually was). Luckily, Offley Place has some beautiful light-filled rooms for group shots in case it's wet outside, so we stayed inside for our group shots. Rachael, Marc and I braved the outside for some couple shots as the sun was low in the sky - my favourite time!

There were so many laughs at this wedding, it was wonderful to cover and be a part of Rachael and Marc's big day! Including a great moment where a wasp tried to attack Rachael mid-ceremony and her bridesmaid leapt to action, wielding a bouquet as a weapon.

I've had the pleasure of covering quite a few weddings where magician Lee Smith at Walkabout Magic was in attendance, he's an absolute joy to work with and I just love seeing everyone's reactions to his magic; they definitely make for some great photos! I always get excited when a couple tell me they're going to have sparklers at their weddings (even if there's a little moment of fear when I consider heavy alcohol consumption and open flames). I clearly have a lot of the child-like excitement about sparklers and they make for gorgeous photos. Rachael and Marc were married the weekend after Bonfire Night, so it was particularly great to see some sparkler action here.
