Kings Chapel Amersham Wedding Photographer

Today, I'm going to show you a wedding at Kings Chapel in Amersham. Have you been to Amersham? It's the cutest little village. I mean, it should have a starring role on all chocolate boxes and Christmas cards. We headed there for Emma and Chris' engagement shoot a couple of months before the wedding.

Emma and Chris had to postpone their wedding twice due to covid. And in that time they decided they weren’t going to let covid slow down their life plans, so, by the time the wedding came around Emma was pregnant.

I have such a curl crush on Emma - that hair!! And let’s talk about this wedding dress. I love an unusual dress and the floral pattern on this one is just beautiful. Emma had to alter the shape a bit due to her pregnancy and I think it looks perfect.

After all those postponements, their wedding day ended up falling on the date of an England World Cup game. Luckily, one that we won, so the mood of the wedding was positive. They decided to lean in and screen the game in the evening after their first dance.

Speaking of, covid restrictions meant that indoor dancing wasn't allowed at this wedding, so, they had their first dance outside. I have to say, I love an outdoor first dance, they feel very cinematic. Especially this one, with the beautiful view of the hills and church over Amersham and live acoustic music playing.

Aside from Emma and Chris, the star of the show was their dog, Maisie. I love a wedding dog. I had already met Maisie several years earlier when we had a pre-wedding chat at a pub, though, I don't think she remembered me. The photo of her dramatic entrance during the ceremony is one of my favourites - she was supposed to walk Emma down the aisle, but, got over-excited and legged it in by herself.
