I’m very excited today as Helen and Tom’s wedding has been featured on Whimsical Wonderland Weddings – one of my favourite wedding blogs. You can go check out some of my photos as well as how Helen made it such a gorgeous day!
The below shows the three album sizes – I opted for a square album, however, landscape albums are also available. The largest of the albums is a 12″ x 12″ Main Coffee Table Album and the medium size is the Parent Coffee Table Album at 8″ x 8″ – both have hardback covers and archival lustre finished photographic pages and just feel so special. I was surprised and delighted at how heavy these albums are – they feel like an heirloom in the making and there’s just nothing like actually holding your photos in your hands. The lay-flat pages allow the key moments to shine out across a full double page spread with no gutter marks of unsightly creases and gives me the freedom, when working on the album layout, to really tell the story of the day from start to finish uninterrupted.
The Coffee Table Albums (both main and parent sized) are kept safe in a presentation box and wrapped in a dustcover. This presentation box is upgradable to feature a shot from your day.
These adorable little books are the guest albums – at just 4″ x 4″ with printed pages. They feature all the shots from your main albums in miniature and would be a great little gift for the bridesmaids and groomsmen, or even to slip into your bag for a little peek at your wedding shots on the move!
While we’re here talking about the products I offer, every one of my lovely couples gets the below – a lovingly hand printed (by myself, of course – which is a great feat for someone as un-crafty as myself…!) eco-friendly recycled DVD case, with some cute little printed DVD’s and I generally sneak in some heart-shaped lollies (while the 150 sitting on my desk last…!)
If you want to take a closer look at the albums and feel them in your hands (which is really half the fun of owning them!), please e-mail me – I love going for a glass of wine or coffee to chat weddings and photos!
St Mary Magdalene Church, Willen, Milton Keynes & Holiday Inn, Newport Pagnell Wedding Photography – Natasha & Ryan
I first met Natasha and Ryan when they came to St Albans to have a drink in my favourite pub and chat over the day. Having met them I was just so excited about their day – they were having a route master (which will never cease to please me), their first dance song would be One Day Like This by Elbow (which, on the day, brought tears to my eyes – such a perfect choice for a first dance) and most importantly, they are incredibly warm people that you just want to spend time with…
Natasha and a lot of the couples family were staying at the Holiday Inn in Newport Pagnell the night before, which was also the reception venue. This meant that a lot of the bridal party were wandering in and out as Natasha got ready. Natasha was incredibly calm and said something that I will definitely bear in mind when I eventually get married – that she was determined to just enjoy the day now and not worry or get hung up on anything that might/does go wrong.
On the short drive to St Mary Magdalene Church in Willen, Milton Keynes, it began to rain. Which made for some great photos of the flower girls and page boys trying to shelter from the wet. The church is stunning – when I walked in I was thinking “what a lucky photographer you are” – pink walls with gold embellishment and plenty of natural light. The horse-shoe shape of the church was lovely too – the way that the bridal party and close family were surrounding the bride and groom really gave weight to the idea of the union of two families as well as two individuals.
It was a quick dash out of the rain for the bride and groom so we didn’t get as many group shots in the lovely church grounds as we might have liked, but, we had these later on in the evening when we got back to the hotel.
I cannot stress enough what a great time I had at this wedding – Natasha and Ryan’s friends and family were just as warm and lovely as they are – I was made to feel like part of the family and found myself not only smiling the whole day, but catching myself grinning all through the editing process too. A special mention to Natasha’s Nan who pulled some epic Vogue style poses every time I pointed the camera at her! I’d like to say a big thank you to everyone for making me feel so welcome!
A massive congratulations to Natasha and Ryan!
