Do you know how much I love a back garden wedding? A lot! Kay and Sam hosted their wedding in their own back garden in Dunsatable in Bedfordshire.

For starters, I have serious garden envy (I don't know when I got old enough to start looking jealously at other peoples gardens, but, you know...).

When we all chatted before the wedding, the couple told me about the field behind their house. They said it would be great for photos because it has lovely sunsets. OK, I thought, a field's a field. Umm...wrong! For starters, the field is huge, literally accessible back garden and just beautiful. It's like wandering into the South of France in Dunstable.

This wedding was so fun. One of the reasons I love a back garden wedding so much is because there's is so much space to make it unique, personal and really chilled.

Kay and Sam's ceremony was particularly personal - full of great readings, personal anecdotes from the celebrant and then they passed the rings around all of the guests so that they could make their wishes for the couple holding the rings before they exchanged them. I'm not crying, you're crying.

The whole vibe was like a very well-dressed garden party - the food was all served family style, kids were running around playing and there were a lot of shots being consumed. And then the incredible band started and the dance floor was flooded for the whole night.
