Abbie and Ed were married at Godmersham Church in Canterbury, Kent, followed by a reception at Godmersham House, just a few minutes down the road. I really do love marquee weddings (and not just because white marquees are like giant soft boxes!) as they seem to bring out the creative side in everyone! Look at all the gorgeous flowers and handmade details here. The good old British summer struck and it rained in the evening, but, Abbie and Ed's guests were undeterred and kept playing lawn games regardless. We only got the chance to meet up shortly before the big day and spent more time chatting about my imminent travel plans than the big day - oops! I just knew it was going to be an amazing day though and I was not disappointed! This was such a fun wedding - the priest would put a stand-up comic to shame and this was such a perfect start to a day that would continue to be full of laughter. I also want to mention my favourite personal touch at this wedding - Ed's cufflinks - they were lobsters. Think on that for a moment...yes, it's a Friends reference - according to Phoebe, lobsters mate for life.
